In the lesson I made models.

I had a discussion with Matt, talking about my

final idea. We discussed how the model could

be made. I was a little worried thinking that it

may be not possible to make the model, but

Matt said that it will be.

I made a small model of my final design with

the material I am going to make the final out

of.

 

During the Easter holidays I must make sure I

catch-up on my work, espeacially my sketchbook.

When we return from the holidays, I will have to

be fully focused on the making of my final design.

If I need to make any extra test pieces I will have

to make them in my own time, using the extra

sessions.

In the morning I picked up the prisim I booked

for today's lesson, from the Physics department.

They also gave me a light box to carry out my

experiment.

I set up everything in the photography studio as

it's pretty dark in there.

I started with experiementing with the effects of

coloured glass/acrylic and refracting light. 

Refracting the light using a mirror.  

Then I experimented with refracting white light

using a prism.

Using mirrors to re-refract.

After that I experimented with dispersing light into

it's spectral colours.
Refracting the dispered light using a mirror.

I had talk with Kate later on. She and I realised I

need to start doing more work. I've been held

back a little because of personal problems, but

I'm going to catch up this week, and in the Easter

holidays which start next week.

I developed my final idea further in CAD programme

SketchUp.
The design needs further rendering.

In the lesson I did some sketch book work so

that it is up-to-date. I also worked on my

final design. I need to develop this design

further and also develop it further in CAD

using SketchUp and maybe SolidWorks.

I tried to get a prism from the Physics

department so that I can experiment with the

light disperstion. It seems like I had to book

it in advance, so Matt tried to book it for me,

now I've got it for Monday.

Matt and me discussed for a while if there

could be another possible way I can use the

prism light disperstion.

I now need to start get everything going as

theres only 5-6 weeks left of this project.
